We are a team with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions experts developing and shipping products at the intersection of hardware, software and content.We are the team that creates the data infrastructure that enables cutting edge ML research and development for Meta’s AR and VR products..As an Engineering Manager on data platform you will lead, manage, inspire, and grow a diverse team responsible for supporting the next generation of AR/VR experiences by building data intensive infrastructure and systems to scale machine perception.

Required Skills:

Software Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

1. Lead, coach, and grow a diverse team responsible for data quality frameworks and systems

2. Tech leadership to develop, evaluate, understand, and implement data and ML training solutions

3. Drive infrastructure efficiency efforts across Reality Labs

4. Define strategy for the team. Translate it to goals and clear expectations

5. Develop a productive and inclusive work environment based on accountability and impact

6. Work with cross-functional partners to understand data quality needs and translate these into system capabilities

7. Collaborate across engineering disciplines and geographies

8. Recruit talent and provide mentorship to team members

Minimum Qualifications:

9. Demonstrated experience in people management, communication and cross functional skills

10. Ability to understand customer needs and translate these into product vision and roadmap

11. Demonstrated experience in driving execution across a multi-disciplinary team (researchers, client and backend engineers, PEs, operations, QA)

12. Experience with building distributed services and data processing pipelines and data analysis tool

13. BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field

14. Professional experience architecting, developing, and shipping software products and/or services

15. Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams

16. Able to thrive in a an environment where goals and requirements may be changing
