Three Rivers Community Action Inc Head Start Classroom Aide in Zumbrota, Minnesota
The Head Start Classroom Aide collaborates with Teachers and Assistant Teachers to: Maintain a safe, secure, and nurturing classroom environment. Utilize effective, developmentally appropriate discipline techniques. Support, encourage, and advocate for all families. Responsibilities: Supporting children with daily routines, including toothbrushing, handwashing, toileting, and meal service. Setting up and cleaning the classroom. Planning and implementing lesson plans. Recording developmental observations. Other tasks as assigned. Position Details: Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Location: Based in Zumbrota, with rare travel to other Agency locations, family visits, training, and meetings. Compensation: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Term: For the 2024-2025 school year, subject to layoff between school years. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Basic computer skills Able to work occasional evening hours for home visits and work-related events Able to lift and/or carry between 20-50 pounds from floor to shoulder height frequently; reach above shoulder level; bend/stoop; squat; crawl; climb; kneel; balance; push/pull; sit on the floor; and move quickly in the event of an emergency Qualification for Ongoing Employment: Able to obtain Family Service Credential Certificate within 18 months of hire date (Agency will provide training during first year of employment) Able to obtain certification in infant/child CPR and First Aid within 3 months About Three Rivers Community Action Join Three Rivers Community Action, a dynamic nonprofit organization established in 1966 by dedicated local citizens.
