Advanced Clinical Support Specialist (d/f/m) Electrophysiology

Region: French-speaking part of Switzerland (Lausanne)

The Advanced Clinical Support Specialist will provide expert technical and product advice/assistance as well as training to physicians, EP lab staff, technicians and administrators regarding all aspects of BWI’s systems and catheter equipment in a manner of utmost professionalism.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

The first duty is on providing support during electrophysiology interventions at hospital for the use of BWI Best-in-Class 3D Navigation system (Carto 3) and other BWI mapping and ablation technologies.

The second duty is on excellence in new technologies deployment, collaborating with doctors and EP staff during early evaluation phase to define the optimal workflow utilization to maximize procedure efficacy and efficiency.

Further expectations of a Clinical Support Specialist include the following:

  • Understand customers’ needs and develop and maintain strong relationships with all levels of customers

  • Engage in meaningful dialogue with multiple internal and external business partners and stakeholders and then formulate possible solutions accordingly

  • Maximize customer case support capability through efficient planning and scheduling techniques, driving collaboration, maintaining consistent, open lines of communication with all other team members both internal/external and/or local/international

  • Analyze sales reports to find opportunities, recognize routine problems; analyze causes and recommend solutions

  • Interact with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Pricing, Finance to ensure a smooth sales process and customer satisfaction

  • Share best practices with team members to best assist customers and use consultative selling techniques to identify potential sales opportunities within the account

  • Together with the European Technical team ensure effective servicing, maintenance, repair and co-ordinate functioning of all clinical sites and upgrades of soft- and hardware

  • Create awareness of BWI solutions and facilitate contact between the Territory Sales Manager (TM) and the key decision makers to drive our business

  • Establish and share best practices with sales and clinical/technical colleagues and internal partners, to develop and grow mutually beneficial customer relationships within and beyond the EP lab, including, but not limited to physicians, nurses, technicians as well as hospital administrators and staff

  • Remain current on company products instructions for use (IFU), best practices, technical troubleshooting and relevant scientific clinical literature and new product information

  • Prioritize and appropriately respond to requests in a high-pressured, stressful environment, maintain composure and focus whilst problem solving in stressful situations

  • Train new team members

  • Respond daily to requests via email & telephone from customers, physicians as well as other internal and external partners

  • Comply with administrative work and company guidelines such as Customer Relationship Management systems, managing account documentation, complaints, Safety and Environmental practices, compliance training, expenses, reporting, company system input and maintaining Safe Fleet standards according to Company guidelines

  • Ensure personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures

  • Perform other duties assigned to him/her as required

Qualifications

Your Expertise

  • Educational background: (bio)technical/(bio)engineer/Engineer

  • Familiar with Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook for daily business use

  • 2-3 years’ experience as a clinical support specialist within the medical device field (ideally cardiology). Previous experience in electrophysiology is beneficial

  • Experience having introduced new technology on the market by working with key opinion leaders is also beneficial

  • Service-, support-, solution- and result-orientated

  • Able to work independently and take ownership and responsibility

  • teamplayer

  • Open to travel (locally and internationally for congresses/training etc.)

  • French, English (spoken & written) mandatory

  • German advantageous

  • A valid Swiss residence and work permit is mandatory

  • Drivers License: It is required that the candidate is in possession of a valid code B driver’s license
