Job Summary
- Responsible for managing a selected material commodity and its procurement activities on strategical and tactical level.
Responsibilities
Developing and implementing purchasing strategies (e.g. cost reduction, partial sourcing)
Determination of criteria for supplier evaluation and selection
Ensuring compliance with supplier evaluation criteria in procurement
Conducting price and award negotiations
Negotiating contracts and conditions
Drafting of supply contracts taking into account the safeguarding of flawless and timely delivery in accordance with external and internal requirements
Basic Qualifications
Strategical commodity management and/or sourcing experience for direct purchasing (production materials) is required.
Bachelor's and/or Master´s degree in engineering, supply chain management, economics, or a similar field.
Analytical competence is required for market price analysis and for the factors, which affect commodity prices.
Good negotiation skills and assertiveness.
Technical background in metals/motors/injection plastics is a plus.
Project Management skills is a plus.
Fluent in English and German languages.
Experience with ERP Systems is a plus.
