The Lead Architect, Human Resources Technology is responsible for leading the development of technical designs and multi-tier solutions using technologies within project scope and the strategic direction of MillerKnoll. Applies software development methodologies to architect and design enterprise level HR Technology solutions. Evolve the HR technology architecture to provide innovative solutions that bring efficiency to business process and advance the HR value proposition at MillerKnoll.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Design, develop, test, deploy, and document the Workday integration systems using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Web Services and Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB).

Lead the design, configuration, testing, administration, deployment, and documentation of new functionalities, security design, and reporting analytics of the HCM solution. Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures.

Delivers efficiency and process improvements to the business using Workday integrations.

Collaborates on the design of the work and partners with users to develop specifications, troubleshoot/resolve issues, and continuously improve processes.

Conducts quality assurance reviews of the project to deliver effective and scalable solutions and evaluates and documents team procedures.

Possesses solid understanding of the business process, workflows, and data requirements for each Workday integration across HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Time, and Compensation.

Assist with the execution of system changes (updates, integrations, new configurations) and participate in all aspects of system testing.

Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or relevant academic discipline; master's degree preferred.

7+ years of professional IT and IS experience.

3+ years of Workday Integrations experience.

4+ years of Workday HCM/Reporting experience.

Deep understanding of how system configuration impacts processes inside and outside of Workday.

Global project experience.

Licenses and Certifications

Workday Certified, preferred.

Applies expert knowledge of fundamental technologies to anticipate and solve complex business needs of assigned business function.

Understanding of current core business practices and how HR Technology solutions support them.

Actively researches and integrates new technologies as business needs change.

Comprehensive understanding of and ability to strategically connect the needs of multiple functional areas.

In-depth knowledge of HR and functional area strategies and how they are integrated.

Active participant in the development of the functional area strategy.
