Electronics manufacturer of products for OEM integration, accessory programs and the automotive aftermarket with corporate headquarters in West Michigan is seeking a Software Engineer with experience in Cloud and backend development creating secure, globally scalable, robust, and responsive backend infrastructure to support web and mobile applications. The engineer must have great communication skills to work with design teams and mobile app developers to architect and develop intuitive, responsive web applications.

responsibilities:

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the future development and vision of back end technologies including APIs and Cloud Native.

• You will be responsible for ensuring the methodology and future vision aligns with best practices and that systems are designed in a way for future growth and stability.

• Ability to propose, design and code software solutions to address complex business needs.

• Ability to oversee technical and procedural documentation.

• Translate requirements into high-quality, testable, scalable software.

• Participate in team code reviews and design discussions.

• Be a team player and collaborate with and train others in the organization as needed.

• Participate in all phases of our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Ability to take ownership assigned tasks and execute them with excellence.

• Identify performance issues and bugs, and devise solutions to these issues.

• Participate as a member of a cross-functional Scrum team to help:

• Execute tests and provide support for UAT Establish estimates/points for stories.

• Identify roadblocks and areas for improvement during retrospectives.

Job Requirements:

• Requirements:5+ years experience and thorough understanding of AWS (S3, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, CDK, EC2, VPC, IAM) designing and supporting IT cloud solutions. Heavier experience with backend/ architecture with some front end.5+ years experience architecting and developing web solutions (example: JavaScript, TypeScript, Express, Vue.js, Angular, Node.js, REST, SQL, HTML, CSS). Familiar or willing to learn quickly Svelte/ SvelteKit for UI toolkit (or related REACT/VUE).Linux and Docker experience.Experience developing and maintaining a public facing API.Prior experience with front end web development.Experience working in an Agile project team.Excellent cross functional communication.AWS certification is nice to have.Experience researching and designing common solutions and working closely with development teams to implement those solutions.Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and ongoing trends.Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience."
