Oracle Site Reliability Developer 2 in ZAPOPAN, Mexico

Job Description

We are hiring for OCI Corporate Network and Security operation. You will be a member of the team responsible for network and security Incident/change/capacity management for supporting the Oracle Corporate Network. Resolve the complex problems related to network infrastructure services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. Design, write, and deploy software to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services.

Full-time Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent. possessing the knowledge of Network and Security configuration, in-depth network troubleshooting, standard internet services, scripting languages, cloud computing patterns, technology security, and compliance.

Be comfortable with mission-critical production issues and manage customer anxiety appropriately.

  • 3-6 years of experience supporting network and network security technologies.

  • Candidates must have three out of the five core skills like Network Automation, Firewall, layer 2/3 switching, load balancer, VPN, and any cloud technology (OCI/AWS/Azure/GCP)

  • Hands-on experience in Corporate, Enterprise, and Cloud Network environments.

  • Experience identifying and resolving network health issues and generally identifying, prioritizing, and measures aimed at improving the quality of the network reliability.

  • Capability to work with other team members. Ensure the coordinated resolution of incidents & Problem management and RCA/CA.

  • Experience with ticketing and incident/request tracking systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong technical knowledge of client/server and Internet concepts and techniques.

  • Highly motivated - self-starter.

  • Strong oral and written technical and interpersonal communication skills including sensitivity to the user community and the importance of maintaining a positive vendor relationship.

  • Candidate should be open for a 24x7 support model as per rotational schedule, as well as occasional overtime activities during scheduled maintenance windows.

  • Experience with network automation tools, Ansible, python, and zero-touch provisioning.

Responsibilities

Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Employee Experience, Network Engineering, Onsite, and Real Estate teams on the shared full stack ownership of a collection of services and/or technology areas. Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. Responsible for designing and delivering the mission-critical stack, focusing on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. Authority for end-to-end performance and operability. Partner with vendors in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture. Understand and communicate the scale, capacity, security, performance attributes, and requirements of the service and technology stack. Demonstrate a clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles. Act as an ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Utilize a deep understanding of service topology and the dependencies required to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations. Understand and explain the effect of product architecture decisions on distributed systems. Professional curiosity and a desire to a develop deep understanding of services and technologies.
