Oracle Senior Automation Quality Engineer in ZAPOPAN, Mexico

Job Description

This r ole will be responsible for, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Own the quality automation test suite for our digital communication products and widget-based web products. Design and implement regression test suites using Ruby and Java-oriented testing frameworks.

  • Participate in the agile software development lifecycle process as the quality representative. Help craft ticket acceptance criteria, ensure quality bar is met prior to production sign-off and release.

  • Use test-driven development to ensure all code is thoroughly tested using Enzyme, Karma, Storybooks, Loki, Ava, Selenium, and Junit

  • Triage, troubleshoot, and support fixing and releasing defects anywhere in the web module stack, from React web components to Java Dropwizard services

Responsibilities

Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a quality role with hands-on experience writing test scripts utilizing industry-standard quality automation tooling

  • Strong Opinions about good testing, including a good understanding of the concepts of TDD, unit testing, and UI testing

  • Experience working with large, complex code repositories

  • Experience with test automation frameworks we use, such as Selenium, Junit, Cucumber, Karma, Loki, or equivalent

  • Must possess experience in creating test plans, test cases and test data.

  • Ability to work independently.Strong organizational and problem solving abilities

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills and someone who isn’t afraid to ask questions

  • MS or BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • Familiar with Docker, MySQL, Oracle SQL, Webpack, Jenkins

Good to have:

  • Experience testing cloud-native, customer-facing applications that delight and inspire their users on modern cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, Azure, or equivalent

  • Familiar with Agile development methodologies

  • Visual regression testing experience
