Key responsibilities- What will you do?
The sales activities of CPM Europe include the manufacture, delivery, commissioning, and service of a range of industrial machinery, geographically spanning the world. This means that a number of our sales and service staff regularly spend time working abroad.
As Commissioning Engineer you will be responsible for commissioning and delivering CPM machines and systems to customers. In this challenging position, you will coordinate the work activities at the customer's premises, as well as resolving problems during the installation of the production lines and also transfer information to the customer organization, regarding the operation and maintenance of the CPM machines.
Specifically, your tasks will include:
Travel (internationally regularly) to Client industrial factory site by arrangement, to Inspect installations and commission machinery in production lines.
Verify that the installation of the equipment has been installed correctly and perform mechanical, electrical and control testing under CPM installation and delivery documentation.
Ensure the agreed contractual requirements are followed through, in a practical way to ensure Safe operation of the CPM equipment and systems so that they can reach the agreed production capacity and product quality requirements.
Follow and record the machinery details using the company installation and Test checklists and procedures.
List and where possible resolve any problems that occur while setting up the production line.
Prepare progress reports on the commissioning, and provide this information to the different departments.
Attend site project meetings and prepare and complete commissioning reports and handover protocols.
Evaluate the installation work with the help of drawings, electrical diagrams and process documentation of CPM machines or the complete production line at the client site.
Verify that the necessary spare parts/machinery and tools are on hand, as well as the fittings the customer has installed for setting up the machine/production line.
Check the machine or production line assembly and ensure the correct installation of all the necessary connections and systems.
As necessary advise and delegate tasks to the customer’s (assistant) technicians and the workers hired on-site.
Start-up and perform a test run of the machine or production line. Assist with production capacity test as contractually required.
Resolve problems found during installation, followed by startup testing and production test runs on site with the resources available there.
Transfer knowledge of the machine, installation, use, and maintenance of the machine or production line to the client team.
Job requirements- What do you need?
MBO or University degree, and 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
One or more European languages as a mother tongue, with English to a high standard, is required.
Strong mechanical mind, educational background, and basic knowledge of industrial electrical installations and control systems.
Practical experience with mechanical operation, and maintenance of heavy industrial machinery, coupled with a working knowledge of electric motor drive and electrical control systems is a basic requirement.
Ability to understand operational and maintenance manuals and mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
Experience working with different operating methods (electronic, hydraulic, air pressure, electrical engineering) for the implemented machinery.
Ability to communicate with clients and the Internal organization to achieve a good outcome for both parties.
Ability to understand the customer’s production process, to ensure that the machine functions, and to have knowledge of materials in order to analyze and resolve problems/failures.
Ability to systematically analyze issues occurring during the work.
Knowledge of the applicable ARBO (safety, health and welfare), environmental regulations, and the Working Hours Act, for safe working in industrial environments.
The ability to take the necessary safety precautions.
Most of the work is carried out on the client's premises. You must be prepared to travel internationally (within Europe) regularly.
Ability to travel and work alone to multinational industrial site locations. Ability to overcome language and cultural
Applicants must have rights to live and work in Northern Europe as CPM is not providing visa sponsorship for this role.
