Title: Teaching Graduate Assistant Employee Classification: GS - Graduate Student - Stipend Pay Grade: GS 00 Division: Academic and Student Affairs Subdivision: Accounting Finance and Info Systems Department: College of Business Campus Location: Main Campus General Summary The College of Business anticipates hiring 1 new Graduate Assistant for the Accounting department starting for the Winter 2025 semester. The GA must be able to work a minimum of twenty (20) daytime hours, Monday-Friday, on-campus. Some weekends and evenings may also be required. Period of Employment: Jan 2025-April 2025. Second-year appointment is contingent on performance, academic success, and resources. Candidates must have the necessary qualifications to assist the department's faculty with teaching help, research projects and related activities within the department's academic specialties. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Graduate Assistant will attend required orientations in the days prior to the start of the semester. Graduate Assistant will be responsible for teaching during assigned sessions. Graduate Assistant will hold office hours for student consultations. Graduate Assistant will also assist with the creation of teaching activities and participate in the assessment of student learning in the Accounting discipline. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to work up to 20 hours per week is required. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Admission and enrollment in a graduate program is required. Maintenance of a 67% course completion is required. Enrollment in at least 6 credits for Winter semesters is required.
