Job Description

Location: 130 Mosswood Blvd, Youngsville NC

Shift: Monday-Friday 3PM - 11 PM

The Production Team Lead is a key position in our manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of an hourly production team, meeting safety, quality, and productivity targets. Additionally, this role promotes a positive and high-energy work atmosphere and drives the entire team's engagement in continuous improvement plans and activities. This person acts as the main interface between operators on the production floor and the site’s leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

• Lead and supervise a team of hourly production workers, providing guidance, motivation, and support.

• Ensure that team members are properly trained and adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.

• Communicate goals and targets to the team.

• Monitor employee attendance and timekeeping in coordination with the Production Supervisor.

• Enforce behavior standards and report repeated non-conformance.

• Handle employee relation concerns and escalate as needed.

Safety and Compliance:

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.

• Monitor and report safety incidents, assist during incident investigations, and work with the Production Supervisor to develop and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that products meet quality specifications by conducting regular quality checks.

• Collaborate with quality control personnel to address quality issues promptly.

• Train team members on quality standards and best practices.

Production Efficiency:

• Monitor production processes to ensure they are running efficiently and meet quality standards.

• Identify and address any production issues or bottlenecks, taking corrective actions as needed.

• Work with the Production Supervisor to develop and implement process improvements.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements, increased efficiency, and cost reduction in the production area.

• Collaborate with the Manufacturing team to implement changes and best practices.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate production records, including production quantities, downtime, and quality data.

• Assist in generating reports and documentation required for production analysis.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or excesses to the Production Supervisor.

• Assist in tracking material usage and reporting discrepancies.
