Job Title: Tool & Die Maker

Location: Youngstown, OH

Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $30-35 per hour (depending on experience)

Shift: Must be able to rotate between 1st & 2nd shift hours 7am-3pm & 3pm-11pm

Kelly is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our team in Youngstown, OH. This position requires proficiency in maintaining and creating tooling to match part drawings while adhering to quality and production standards. The ideal candidate will have current or recent experience in tool and die making and be comfortable with rotating shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints; use measuring devices and equipment to create or modify tooling for new or existing jobs.

  • Repair or requisition replacement parts, tooling, or hardware as needed.

  • Sharpen production tools and make new die inserts.

  • Measure and adapt dies to fit different press configurations.

  • Set dies in presses and ensure proper operation.

  • Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; some college or technical school preferred but not required.

  • Journeyman card or 7 years of experience as a Die Maker.

  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • Ability to understand and apply geometric concepts.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly stand, sit, and handle tools.

  • Occasionally lift or move up to 40 lbs.

  • Specific vision abilities required include peripheral vision, close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional loud noise.

  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial systems is desirable.

  • Ability to weld and use acetylene torches.

  • Experience with Bridgeport, Grinder, and Lathe is a plus.
