REGIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST– OH/PA/WV

    SUMMARY

    We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Specialist to help us expand our Industrial Business in the Low-Pressure Blower and Vacuum Markets. You will be at the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

  • You will identify new business opportunities and clients, identify new products, new services, and lines of business, and develop marketing and sales strategies to help grow a company's low pressure and vacuum business.

  • It can be challenging trying to create new business opportunities, in addition to the constant pressure of meeting or exceeding targets. However, business development is quite a creative role and can be very satisfying.

  • You will work in an office environment but will frequently travel within the day for face-to-face meetings with customers and other business partners throughout the region.

  • Depending on the type of business, overnight travel may be required.

    RESPONSIBILITES

  • Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.

  • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organization.

  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.

  • Meet with customers/clients face to face, over the phone, or web-meeting.

  • Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients.

  • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these utilizing the company’s resources.

  • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the low pressure and vacuum business.

  • Work strategically - conducting necessary planning to maximize customer time.

  • Draw up client contracts working with the Vice President.

  • Have an expert level understanding of  products or services 

  • Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing team.

  • Collaborate with the finance team, supply chain, warehousing, and logistics departments as appropriate.

  • Attending seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate.

  • Keep current with trends and changes in the business world.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or related fields desired.

  • 3 – 5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated and proven sales results preferred.

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

  • Amazing communication skills in person, on the phone, and in email
