Job Description
BAE Systems Sustainment & International Product Line is hiring a Program Manager to be part of the Sustainment Solutions team supporting our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business. The Program Manager will focus on the AMPV and Bradley product lines, leading proposals, leading and supporting strategic growth initiatives including strategic planning, Internal Research & Development (IR&D) and Sales & Marketing (S&M) projects, and assisting other PMs in execution of current program activity. Provide competitive advantage to the company by working with Program Management, Cross Functional teams, and by leveraging Customer relationships to identify and enhance opportunities for CMS business growth in support of improving Operational Readiness for CMS platforms. Develop proposals and program plans that mitigate schedule risk, reduce schedule delays, and address the life-cycle of products from capture through production.
Responsibilities:
Provides program leadership in execution from program capture through delivery
Manages the implementation of BAE Systems Lifecycle Management (LCM) processes
Contributes to strategies for proposal preparation, negotiations, and pricing decisions
Collaborates with functional management to resolve issues that potentially impact efforts (scheduling and cost conflicts, contractual requirements, etc.)
Understands the program financial position including managing and reporting the financial inputs/results
Leads Risk and Opportunity management activities
Thinks long-term while also managing program launches and execution, anticipates and resolves problems
Ensures internal and external stakeholder collaboration meet program obligations and objectives
Manages cost accounts and all aspects of cost, schedule, performance, and customer satisfaction
Provides mentorship and supervision to other sustainment program managers and team members
Interfaces with customers on program issues and presents status to internal and external stakeholders
Ensures completeness and quality of program documentation
Documents lessons learned, archives program records, and actively implements learning from experience initiatives to improve performance
Complies with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to ethics, export control, proprietary information, document/record retention, public communication, etc.
Promotes a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety and environmental objectives and policies
Actively promotes a culture of safety, health, and wellbeing
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of work experience or equivalent experience
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Experience in Program/Project Management
Experience in PM Tools: Program/Production Planning, Scheduling, Budgeting, Cost Estimating, Earned Value Management, Resource Allocation, Performance Management, etc.
Experience in Manufacturing/Production Management
Experience in Proposals, Pricing, Contract Changes, or similar
Ability to engage cross-functional teams to understand program requirements and deliver required products on time
Ability to work cross-functionally: Contracts, Engineering, Finance, Facilities, Logistics, Material Planning, Supply Chain, and Quality
Ability to interface with external stakeholders including USG agencies: DCMA, TACOM, and Foreign Military Sales Program Offices
Ability to effectively represent the Company / Program(s)
Ability to manage interpersonal relations and conflicts
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and delegate
Ability to act independently within established guidelines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft suite
Problem-solving skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Master s Degree
PMP Certification
Active Secret Security Clearance
Experience with Army Sustainment Programs
Experience with Offset Program Execution
Experience in Foreign Military Sales
Experience with US Army Program Management, Product Development, Production, or Fielding
Knowledge of Military Operations and Government Procurement System
Knowledge of Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Program/Project Management, and General Management
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $115100 - $195700
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
