Printing Press Operator

Job Description

This long-term opportunity to work as Printing Press Operator.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the printing quality and communicate defects to the printer and other press crew.

  • Perform scrub tests.

  • Tag properly or cut defective product out at creeper bed.

  • Clean and maintain the equipment daily.

  • Assist printer and printer helper with clean-ups and set-ups.

  • Check and monitor proper trimming throughout the job.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

  • Printing experience.

  • Machine operation.

  • Manufacturing experience.

  • Mechanical ability.

  • Printing press operation.

  • Forklift operation.

  • Hoist operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Must be able to pass a color test and see minor printing defects.

  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, etc. during a 10-hour schedule.

  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.

  • Must pass a physical demands test.

Work Environment

Manufacturing facility. . Safety shoes are required.

The shift is from 6AM to 4PM, Monday through Thursday, with the possibility of working on Fridays when production demands require.
