Paint Operator 2 - 2nd shift - PAINT005079

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Nature & Scope: Responsible for paint line processes, preparing parts to be painted, inspecting parts after painting, and labeling parts for movement into the following area, while meeting consistent quality standards.  * 2nd shift - Monday - Thursday 2pm-12am * $21.00 per hour + $2.00 shift differential * Mt ROSE LOCATION

Specific Job Responsibilities & Duties: * Collaborate effectively within a team, following instructions and completing tasks delegated by the paint lead/ supervisor/ support manager * Understand the process of hanging parts on correct racks  * Helps to ensure the paint line is maintaining the capacity plan. * Make color changes as required in a timely manner * Effectively uses paint powder inventory to maximize yield * Ensures the quality of parts coming off the paint line meet the company's quality standard  * Maintains painting equipment and paint room regarding maintenance and housekeeping. * Ensures the paint room is operating at efficient levels. Rebuilds paint guns and pumps as required. Maintains spare part inventory levels * Able to lift 55lbs of powder boxes throughout the day on demand * Conduct paint rework repairs as necessary * Work comfortably in a respirator * Bake parts at specified temperatures * Collaborate with the team to meet quality and on-time performance goals * Address discrepancies, solve problems, and implement solutions effectively * Attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, and persistence * Visual examination skills to ensure finished parts meet specifications * Positive team player with a "can-do" attitude in a fast-paced environment * Adjust equipment to maintain required thickness of powder application * All other duties as assigned

Experience * Knowledge of paint line processes * Paint booth experience * Able to work in a team environment * Willingness to meet and exceed production requirements * Ability to handle change * Mechanical aptitude * Prior Powder Coating Experience desired * Demonstrated knowledge of adhesion and proper preparation of substrate * Knowledge of curing oven operations * Powder paint application techniques and equipment experience in a manufacturing environment * Basic math skills (Generally counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
