Job Title: Packaging Operator

Weekend Shift- Friday Saturday and Sunday-

Training during 1st shift 5am to 3:00pm- Monday to Thursday

Job Description

You will be trained in two different processes: Automatic and Wrapper. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills and advance your career in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Load finished product into automatic cutting machines for processing into smaller lengths for retail.

• Thread product through machines, load product and transport to the wrapping machine staging area.

• Operate slitter to cut reels into 30 ft rolls for sale at big box stores.

• Prepare finished products and palletize them for shipping.

• Track work orders and maintain organization.

• Inspect parts for quality.

• Push full carts and handle boxes of rolls (up to 20 lbs).

Essential Skills

• Experience with machine operation and packaging.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks.

• Ability to handle paperwork and maintain organized records.

• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with using tools like tape measures.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with room for advancement. Benefits are available within 30 days of full-time employment, including 3 weeks of vacation (120 hours) after being hired on directly. Employees receive an annual work boot reimbursement (up to $100) and a 50 cent raise upon being brought on, with potential for more based on training and experience.

Work Environment

Weekend shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5 AM to 5 PM.

Initial training is Monday - Thursday from 5 AM to 3 PM for 4 to 6 weeks.

Breaks include two 10-minute breaks and one 20-minute paid lunch break

Manufacturing facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
