Position Overview: This position is responsible for performing HR-related duties in the following functional areas: benefits and leave of absence administration, employee relations, policy administration, employment law compliance, staffing/recruiting, and new employee onboarding. The successful candidate will be a highly trusted, organized individual who exercises a great deal of discretion, and has exceptional interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.

Base Location/Travel Requirements: Office assignment: York, PA with flexibility to work from home when appropriate. Travel: Occasional travel as necessary to other offices, yard locations, trainings, and offsite meetings.  Additional travel may be required to customer facilities.

Essential Functions/Duties: Sourcing, Interview and selection of Office Support Administers all Benefit programs. (Medical, dental, vision, 401k, FMLA, etc.) Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. Performs benefit administration, including enrollments, claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communication of benefits information to employees. Responsible for all state, city, and municipality paid sick leave law requirements compliance. Ensures we are appropriately meeting the necessary requirements. Maintains the individual balance information of this paid time category within the HRIS system, as provided by Payroll. Coordinates our organization's wellness initiatives, including chairing the Wellness Committee. Handles employee relations issues, separation process, exit interviews. Assists in the administration of employee engagement programs as well as rewards and recognition programs. Administers all employee termination HRIS processing, including notifications to all necessary departments/persons. Assists field personnel with completing background checks and access forms as needed Supports the overall day to day initiatives of the Human Resources functions and various administrative duties (employee events, establishing goals, processes).

Education, Skills, Experience: Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or similar field, or a combination of education and work experience. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and the ability to learn new software systems as required. Experience operating general office equipment (copiers/scanners/etc.).

Desired: Five (5)+ years' experience within the Human Resources field. PHR certification preferred. Data base experience, preferably within an HRIS system.
