Delivery Lead - Software Engineering

Essential Job Functions:

• Support a team of software engineers in the development of software products and solutions, providing guidance, code reviews, and technical support.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, ensuring the successful delivery of software projects.

• Assist in the professional growth and mentorship of team members through regular feedback, coaching, and career development planning.

• Contribute to the execution of the software engineering strategy, participating in strategic discussions and technology assessments.

• Manage project tasks and assignments, helping to prioritize and plan work to meet project goals.

• Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets to ensure efficient project execution.

• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, working to resolve issues as they arise.

• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

Required Experience:

  • Strong 8+ years of experience on resolving production issues for Life COMM and related interface system

  • Experience on Assembler, COBOL, CICS, Life/70, MVS /JCL, VSAM, Easytrieve, DB2, TSO/ISPF

  • Must have expertise in life Insurance/ Annuity domain.

  • Experienced in end to end development & testing model

  • Functional gap analysis, impact analysis on the Lifecomm application & map gaps against user requirement.

  • Prepare of Estimation and timeline for various activities

  • Create technical Specification document & Conduct technical walkthrough with various stakeholders and obtain required sign offs

  • Functional support during development of applications

  • Coordinate with Interface teams on Lifecomm integration touch points

  • Peer review.

  • Unit test plan, planning and execution

  • Support for Program management activities including regular status reporting and escalation of challenges/ risks on timely basis

  • Must have excellent Communication Skills
