WellSpan Health Business Systems Analyst in York, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Under general supervision, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Develops or modifies moderately complex information systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis of business and user needs and documents requirements for business solutions.

  • Coordinates implementation of departmental systems, including completion of workflow analysis and establishment of benchmarks for determining successful completion of project(s).

  • Evaluates current departmental procedures and makes recommendations for reengineering to best utilize capabilities of new business systems and enhance departmental productivity, performance and accuracy.

  • Monitors daily activity, resolves problems, develops new methodologies, and interfaces with vendors in developing solutions to problems and submitting enhancement requests with subsequent follow up.

  • Prepares documentation for, and provides implementation training as required.

  • Compiles data for and prepares regularly scheduled or special reports, analyses and statements.

  • Researches availability of other internal and external database sources to ensure most current and complete information is available to appropriate departments and managers.

  • Guides and advises less experienced Business Systems Analysts.

  • Minimum Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years

  • Minimum Education:

  • Associate's Degree

  • Minimum Field Of Expertise:

  • Accounting, business administration, or computer science

  • Strong SQL or Crystal Reports Experience preferred

  • Lawson experience is preferred but not mandatory

  • Skills:

  • Excellent communication and problem solving/analytical skills; significant knowledge of systems
