Responsibilities: Research and review open solicitations. Request quotes from vendors. Has a working relationship with suppliers and may order and expedite parts as necessary. Seeks management guidance regarding compliance. Prepare and submit offers to government agencies. Assist the sales team with offer submissions. May initiate customer contact to promote product sales and customer relations Generate purchase orders and submit orders to vendors. Review open orders. Maintains contract database integrity and associated documentation. Ability to track and communicate key issues and status of contract portfolio relative to contract requirements in a fast-paced environment. Prepares and maintains all records and documents required for the duties being performed; knowledgeable of all company policies and procedures relating to parts transactions. Has a working knowledge of all product lines that the company stores and distributes, and understands the applications for those parts Requirements Excellent heavy duty diesel engine/diesel generator product knowledge, good administrative skills and inventory management experience are important. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure. Practical and proactive problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Ability to work in a team setting. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to manage individual workload to ensure tasks are completed promptly to meet deadlines. Ability to multi-task work effectively and collaborate with team. Demonstrated proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and AS400. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. An Equal Opportunity Employer.
