Climatec, LLC Outside Sales (West Coast Fire & Integration) in Yorba Linda, California

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for selling integrated fire alarm systems and related low voltage technology solutions to building owners, general contractors, electrical contractors, engineers, architects, and consultants.

  • Builds and manages long-term customer relationships with key building owners, general contractors, and architectural and engineering firms. Owns and facilitates customer relationships.

  • Prospects, qualifies, and closes new opportunities.

  • Demonstrates technical knowledge to create solutions that address the customer’s project challenges.

  • Influences design and construction decisions with owners, contractors, and consultants. Generates competitive, high-quality, and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost-benefit analyses. Skillfully writes, presents, and communicates bids and proposals. Negotiates and closes sales successfully.

  • Utilizes sales tools effectively. Manages the pipeline in company tools, focusing on next steps, action items, and milestones in the sales process.

  • Leads the sales pursuit team, builds team relationships to ensure project success and customer satisfaction. Collaborates with product partners, subcontractors, engineers, project managers, and support colleagues.

  • Communicates the project vision, sales strategy, and plan to win. Engages engineers in customer meetings to review specific technologies and works closely on specifications throughout the solution development phase.

Skills & Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum a high school diploma.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the integrated fire alarm systems industry.

  • Knowledge of the construction industry and understanding of the construction process and owner-direct negotiated process are essential.

  • Successful experience selling traditional plan & spec bid and design-build projects to contractors and direct to owners. Strong initiative and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong proposal development and writing skills.

  • Proven experience managing the development of complex project solutions, estimates, and proposals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the integrated fire alarm systems industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to sell integrated systems.

  • Proven track record of successfully closing large scale projects.

  • Understanding of software integration via manufacturer software applications, APIs and custom software development.

  • Experience with network and fire alarm system applications, telecom system applications, Emergency DAS - ERRCS, and related low voltage systems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc.

  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs.

  • Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites.

  • Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.

  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive on company business.

  • Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl.
