Job Summary
The Activities Assistant is accountable for providing exceptional care and service to patients, residents, guests and fellow employees at all times.
Supports the hospital's goal of excellence in patient care in a Christian, caring environment by facilitating positive employee relations and supporting department goals.
Provides exceptional care and service to patients, residents, guests and fellow employees at all times.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.
Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent, one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Activity Certification required within 1 year of hire.
Certified Nursing Assistant required within 1 year of hire
BLS Certification required within 60 days of hire.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, every fifth weekend, every fifth holiday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$17.00 - $20.50 per hour
