    JOB SUMMARY

    The technicians in Tier 1 will have mastered the skills trained in the Tier 2 and Tier 3 job specifications. In addition, a Tier 1 technician will have achieved additional levels of on-line training and approved off site training and specified below. A technician will not be considered for Tier 1 advancement until they have a minimal of five years on the job training.

    ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Actively working on approved off-site training prerequisites and or attending off-site training towards a certification in the agreed upon training path.

  • Advanced knowledge of: (Time Management, Estimating, Paint and supplies.)

    EXAMPLES OF SKILLS NEEDED TO MASTER THIS LEVEL

  • Performs timely repairs, minimum 90% efficiency and 80% Proficiency.

  • Performs quality repairs should have minimal rework based on value, frequency, and managerial discretion.

  • Ability to lead & train Tier "2" & "3" Technicians.

  • Can estimate and repair advanced Cab, Body, and Structural impacts.

    PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS

    Complete all Tier 2 & 3 Job Role Requirements.

    Must complete a Minimum of 4 items listed below.

  • Full Cab Replacement

  • Cab Panel Exchange

  • Cab Welding

  • Electric Diagnostic

  • Fiberglass repairs

  • Able to complete estimating process

  • Perform coolant system and A/C replacement as pertains to wrecks

  • Performs electrical repairs as needed pertaining to wreck

  • Active in the Safety Committee

  • Able to reassemble per OEM specification for all makes and models

  • Accomplished painter and has knowledge of paint and materials cost vs expense and how to estimate materials needed per repair
