SUMMARY STATEMENT OF WORK PERFORMED: Monitors in-process scrap, provides feedback and instruction to Orcomatic, belt and Vision operators in compliance with Quality, Safety, Work Instructions and good housekeeping requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Management may assign other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

• Visually inspect in-process parts to determine acceptability per inspection standards

• Inspect shipping containers for proper packaging, labeling methods and accuracy of information

• Audit manufacturing processes to verify compliance to SOIs, Control Plans, 1st Pc Insp., etc.

• Measure parts per schedule and determine final disposition of questionable product

• Conduct final product audits and document findings

• Provides feedback and instruction to diaphragm cell operators to assure bad parts aren’t shipped and that good parts aren’t scrapped.

• Audit log sheets, inspection detail sheets, and scrap log sheets, etc. for accuracy and completeness. Prepares any associated paperwork

• 6” Steel Rule

• Thickness Gauge

• Pyrometer

• Calipers

• Video Comparator

• Video CMM

• Other Testing Equipment

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma

EXPERIENCE:

One year of quality inspecting/auditing or one year in Orcomatic or Belt inspection processes.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to use measurement equipment listed to validate part compliance to customer specifications.

• Ability to read and comprehend visual inspection standards, sampling plans, SOIs and blueprints.

• Must be self directed and be able to work with little supervision

• Must be able to work flexible shifts to support 24 hr manufacturing operation

• Ability to communicate effectively, providing constructive feedback and training instruction to operators, trainers and leads.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:

• Occasionally bend; stoop; sit and lift up to 40 lbs. less than 2 hours/8-hour work day

• Frequently stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle; reach with hands and arms (more than 6 hours/8-hour work day)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Safety shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection are required

• The ambient temperature in the work environment during the summer months can exceed 100 degrees.
