Lane Enterprises Inc. Quality Assurance Technician (QA Technician) in Wytheville, Virginia

The Quality Assurance Lab Technician is responsible for materials testing, finished pipe testing, finished pipe, and fitting evaluations, ensuring quality protocols and methods are practiced in all areas of production and testing, and aiding management with investigation of non-conformances through root cause analysis. Verifying and reinforcing quality methods in accordance with Lane Enterprises established standard practices, industry standards, as well as customer requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

    • Finished pipe dimensions and performance.
    • Resin performance.
    • Vendor supplied materials

Development of workable knowledge of material and finished pipe testing requirements of the appropriate AASHTO, or ASTM standards based on the style of pipe being produced.

  • Processing/Production
  • Fabrication
  • Yard storage
  • Internal Quality processes and programs

Daily review of current product through previous day inventory from all lines to verify compliance and/ or identify non-conformances in real time.

Interfacing with production personnel and the management team to effectively communicate observations, audit findings, testing results, and AASHTO/ASTM standard requirements.

Understanding when to escalate findings, results, or observations to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Quality Assurance Manager.

Responsible for having workable knowledge of material and finished pipe testing requirements of the appropriate AASHTO, or ASTM standards based on the style of pipe being produced.

Monitoring and collecting incoming resin following sampling procedures to ensure compliance with requirements.

Will need to be outdoors for resin sampling in all seasons/weather.
