POSITION SUMMARY The Supply Chain Specialist will take proactive actions to ensure prompt delivery of materials. They will identify materials shortages in advance to prevent production delays and be responsible for identifying root causes of shortages. The Supply Chain Specialist will communicate with internal team and vendors on the status of critical orders. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All employees are required to support Rosenbauer s Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. Ultimately, an outstanding Supply Chain Specialist should be able to multitask effectively as well as demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer. Identify potential shortage through review and analysis of materials in stock and on order. Communicate proactively with the production team on shortages and resolutions, including keeping relevant documents related to materials up to date. Collaborates cross-functionally within Rosenbauer to resolve shortages, delays, and perform root cause analysis related to shortages/delays. Supports the purchasing team with managing and placing orders to resolve shortages and delays, including finding secondary sources for urgent items. Support purchasing team with creating forecasts and usage analysis. Provides feedback and documentation to the Vendor Manager, Supply Chain Data Analyst, and Supply Chain Manager as requested. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.
