Actalent Project Architect in Wyoming, Michigan

Job Title: Project ArchitectJob Description

We are seeking a Project Architect who will be responsible for all aspects of architecture, from client interface to collaboration with internal and external teams, and designing. This role involves developing project work plans, client communication, designing architectural plans, ensuring compliance with building codes, guiding contractors, problem-solving, conducting site visits, and completing all necessary project documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project work plans outlining the scope, timeline, and resources required.

  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and ensure their expectations are met.

  • Create detailed architectural designs and drawings using CAD software.

  • Ensure all work adheres to building codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Oversee contractors and builders to ensure construction aligns with design plans.

  • Address issues such as budget overruns, construction delays, or design modifications.

  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any on-site questions or concerns.

  • Complete all necessary project documentation, including drawings and specifications.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

  • Expertise in architectural design, construction administration, project management, and construction documentation.

  • Experience with retail architecture and construction drawings.

  • Strong design and drafting skills, including proficiency in SketchUp.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture.

  • 4+ years of post-college experience working at a firm that designs commercial projects.

  • Licensed or eligible to become licensed.

Work Environment

In this role, you will be starting up the Architecture department for a new initiative and will have the opportunity to work directly with the in-house construction team and a large repeat client. You will oversee designers and drafters as they join the team. This is a dynamic and collaborative environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $55.29
