Description

Our client is a Financial Technology company based out of NJ looking to hire a Full Time Remote Project Manager for their team! The Project Manager will work with upper management and project team members to establish project needs, set and meet deadlines and maintain project budgets in a digital financial technology space while adhering to project timelines.

Responsibilities

As the Project Manager, you will need to possess a diverse skill set that includes leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and risk management. Additionally, you will be responsible for guiding a team of professionals to complete projects by established deadlines, supporting business initiatives, and ensuring a productive work environment.

Other important responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Defining project scope and objectives

  • Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports

  • Conducting project kickoff meetings to communicate individual roles and project expectations

  • Securing and managing project resources including staff, vendors, and materials

  • Allocating and directing staff to carry out project tasks

  • Creating and maintaining project timelines

  • Ensuring timely completion of project milestones and final deliverables

  • Estimating and managing the project budget

  • Tracking project expenditures and ensuring the project remains within budgetary constraints

  • Ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards

  • Implementing quality assurance processes

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for project communications

  • Providing regular updates to stakeholders on project status, including any changes or issues

  • Identifying potential risks and developing risk mitigation strategies

  • Addressing problems and issues as they arise and implementing corrective measures

  • Engaging with stakeholders to clarify requirements and expectations

  • Managing stakeholder communication and fostering necessary buy-in

  • Documenting project progress and ensuring all necessary sign-offs are obtained

  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation and archives

  • Leading and motivating the project team to achieve its goals

  • Facilitating conflict resolution and team building activities

  • Ensuring project compliance with company policies, and industry standards

  • Preparing reports for executive leadership that provide project details, such as the state of the project, any issues, and the projected next steps

  • Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.

  • Closing out project accounts and ensuring all aspects of the project are completed satisfactorily.

  • Incorporating lessons learned into the company's project management approach

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Education: BS in Business, Management, or equivalent work experience

  • Relevant Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2

  • Experience: minimum 3-5 years as a project manager in financial services

  • Experience with project-management frameworks utilizing Agile methodology

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Problem-solving mentality

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Familiar with management tools such as JIRA

  • Knowledge of collaboration platforms such as TEAMS and Confluence

  • Project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project

  • Prior experience working with SaaS solutions

  • Preferred project management experience in consumer banking, card management, or payments
