Johnson Controls Senior Engineer in WUXI, China
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Use Solid works to design scroll compressor architecture or components, considering product cost, efficiency, and reliability to create the best product on the market.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of product design theory and practice.
Create 2D and 3D drawings for prototypes and mass production.
Develop detailed FMEA designs and qualification plans.
Prepare clear and logical materials for Project Development Process (PDP) reviews.
Utilize quality tooling to solve issues or failures during development.
File patents for inventions created during daily work.
Coordinate group meetings with internal/external customers/suppliers effectively.
Initiate, execute, and track work plans/activities to meet customer requirements.
Effectively complete assignments using all available resources.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Master preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience, related to scroll compressors mechanical design (not in Lab and Model shop, application, etc.).
Manufacturing knowledge of scroll compressor is a plus.
Project management skill is a plus
Language: Fluent English reading and written are must, simple speaking is a plus, and Japanese is a plus.
Collaborative working mind set is very important across different locations and countries.
Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, CAD software such as SolidWorks, Pro E, etc.
Programing skills is a plus, VB, Excel VBA, C, C++, Matlab, Fortran, etc.
