Program Summary:

The F-35 Maintenance Systems Program Management Office at KBR is dedicated to ensuring the operational readiness and sustainment of the F-35 Lightning II aircraft. This program focuses on the integration and management of maintenance systems to support the USAF’s advanced fighter capabilities. Our team works closely with various stakeholders to deliver efficient and effective maintenance solutions.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team supporting the F-35 Maintenance Systems Program Management Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading complex projects, ensuring alignment with USAF weapon system management processes, policies, and procedures. This role requires exceptional leadership and strategic planning skills to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance. The Senior Project Manager will also oversee risk, issue, and opportunity management, as well as scheduling and SharePoint content management. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the sustainment of one of the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee project planning and execution for the F-35 Maintenance Systems Program.

  • Ensure compliance with USAF weapon system management processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of complex projects.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, and manage issues and opportunities.

  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.

  • SharePoint: Prepare, input, and manage SharePoint content.

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

  • Provide regular project status updates and reports to senior leadership.

  • Facilitate and support project meetings and reviews.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the program.

  • The KBR employee will need to go to office either in Arlington, VA (Crystal City location) or Wright Patterson Air Force Base location (WPAFB).

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience.

  • Knowledge of USAF weapon system management processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Experience with cost/schedule/technical execution.

  • Proficiency in risk/issue/opportunity management and scheduling.

  • Active Secret Clearance

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification.

  • Experience with F-35 maintenance systems.

  • Proficiency in SharePoint content management.

  • Experience using Atlassian tools/Confluence/Jira.
