Remediation Technicians at US Ecology support activities in the field related to remediation work. Our technicians are counted on to operate machinery, lift heavy objects and work as a safety-conscious team member. Please note this position may require overnight travel to various sites across the Northeast.
Day in the Life
While no two days are the same, you can typically expect to:
Gear up in your PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), if needed for the day
Use your hands-on work ethic to perform various tasks at the site
Perform work within confined spaces
Respond to emergency spills
Operate a pump, power washer, and a variety of small equipment
Operate heavy equipment (we will train you!)
Travel between various sites to get the job done
Perform other duties as assigned
What you need to apply
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
1-2 years construction/environmental experience
Willingness to obtain OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER
Must be able to work overnight assignment throughout the Northeast
Ability to work a flexible work schedule including overtime and weekends and may include on call emergency response.
Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
