Mental Health Professional or licensure candidate

Southwestern Mental Health Center (SWMHC) is currently seeking applications for a Minnesota - Licensed, or Licensable, Mental Health Professional. We are seeking a Mental Health Professional located in our Worthington, MN office. This position provides and assists in coordinating, planning, implementing, supervising, and facilitating outpatient and residential treatment programming and services. Responsibilities may include individual, family and group counseling, employee assistance counseling, adult and children’s day treatment or school based programming, critical incident stress management, administration and interpretation of licensure appropriate standardized psychiatric measures, court-ordered evaluations, and community education services and treatment. All of these areas may involve providing assessment and crisis intervention to acute, chronic or moderately disturbed individuals experiencing mental distress or dysfunction.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in a behavior science field from an accredited University/College.

  • Licensed or licensable in the State of Minnesota as a LP, LMFT, LICSW, LPCC, LPC, LAMFT, LGSW OR LISW.

  • LADC license or desire to pursue an LADC license is preferred.

    Licensure Supervision Training:

    Supervision for licensure at no cost.

    Southwestern Mental Health Center provides Clinical Supervision from our Licensed Therapists as you work towards your license as a Therapist (LICSW, LPCC, or LMFT license) and we have staff to provide supervision necessary for the LADC license. Licensure Supervision Training is between a $5,000 to $8000 benefit per year that Southwestern Mental Health Center provides for our staff that are seeking licensure.

    Loan Forgiveness Programs:

    If you are licensed or when you become licensed, Southwestern Mental Health Center is an NHSC approved facility for the National Health Service Corp. Loan Forgiveness Program. Fully licensed therapist are eligible to apply for the NHSC Loan Forgiveness Program. Full-time services: Up to $50,000 for a two-year initial term. Half-time service: Up to $25,000 for a two-year initial term.

    Southwestern Mental Health Center also qualifies for the Minnesota Health Care Loan Forgiveness program and the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) Program
