Wyoming Sugar Company Pipefitter - Welder TI & TII in WORLAND, Wyoming

Review blueprints, plan, install, and maintain piping for Wyoming Sugar Company, a sugar processing facility. This is a full time, dayshift position, with the possibility of moving to shift work during our Campaign season.

 

Essential Job Duties

  • Inspect workplace, clear obstructions, prepare materials and equipment to work safely
  • Study blueprints and plan pipe systems and related equipment for installation
  • Use a variety of tools to modify pipes to specifications
  • Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading, and welding
  • Secure pipes to walls and fixtures with brackets, clamps, and welding equipment when appropriate
  • Complete material requisition sheets to order materials such as pipes, hangars, brackets, etc.
  • Repair and maintain pipe systems, supports, and related equipment
  • Comply with relevant codes and regulatory standards Maintain good manufacturing practices to comply with company standards.
  • Adhere to all company policies and all safety, food safety, feed safety, and sanitation rules and programs.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.

     

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Trade school education or apprenticeship preferred
  • 2 years' experience as a pipefitter/ welder preferred
  • Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working with equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with coworkers and management
  • Possess current Driver's License and have good driving record

Physical Demands and Expectations

  • Ability to work inclement conditions including temperatures below freezing and above 90 degrees F
  • Ability to lift up to 100lbs
  • Driving, walking, bending, climbing, lifting, pulling, and standing for various durations of time are required
