Brink’s Global Services U.S., a division of Brink’s, Incorporated, is the premier provider of precious commodities, diamonds and jewelry, armored car transportation and other value added services to retailers, financial institutions, and other commercial and government entities. Pay Range: 85k-105k

Job Summary:

The Security Manager is responsible for day to day oversight of all security programs, identifying and advising on security systems and technology matters. The manager will support and oversee all aspects of incident /internal investigations related to security process and integrity as necessary. In addition the manager will be responsible for overseeing compliance with Brink’s policies, procedures and internal standards at local operating units and subsidiary and group headquarters. This position will work closely with Brink’s Ground Armored to proactively address security gaps/issues related to interdepartmental logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and Perform internal Security Audits

  • Identify current methods and procedures in place to manage liability, and security compliance.

  • Make recommendations to improve or enhance the security compliance to the CSR team when opportunities exist.

  • Monitor and collaborate with the management team to implement and follow-up on security recommendations

  • Review and ensure compliance with the systems, procedures, rules, objectives and timescales set by the organization (Brink’s Policy and Procedures and local key regulatory requirements)

  • Evaluates alternatives; considers adverse consequences; utilizes appropriate data gathering techniques and uses sound judgment to arrive at good decisions.

  • Encourages cooperation and teamwork, and facilitates the constructive resolution of conflict; builds positive relationships.

  • Develop recommended changes in operating procedures and internal controls to correct existing and preclude future exceptions to established norms

  • Collect information relevant to the problem, exhibit discipline in ascertaining the root cause, identify and develop a practical solution, communicate the findings and help implement action to resolve the problem

  • Expresses ideas clearly, persuasively, and effectively; listens and responds appropriately to others, keeps people informed.

  • Deals effectively with customers, suppliers and others outside the Company.

  • Accepts personal ownership for commitments and goals

  • Makes decisions with full consideration to the cost impact on own organization as well as the impact on the department, branch, or entire organization; identifies ways to reduce costs and eliminate waste; manages own time, resources and equipment effectively.

  • Identifies trends that affect the organization

  • Takes calculated, prudent risks; experiments with new approaches to discover if they will be successful; takes responsibility for making difficult decisions.

  • Proposes strategies to improve business performance; takes action to achieve desired results; recommends ways to improve efficiency of work processes.

  • Establishes procedures to monitor the results of delegations, assignments, or projects.

  • Follows through to completion assigned tasks and projects in a professional and expedient manner. Delivery of results consistent with overall departmental and Company objectives.

  • Establishes performance goals with people, clarifying expectations, offering instructions and advice; provides opportunities to develop new skills; provides support and feedback to enhance performance.

  • Assigns responsibilities to direct reports and gives them discretion and authority to carry them out.

  • Uses training and job assignments to facilitate learning; provides appropriate recognition and rewards; provides constructive performance feedback through coaching and regular performance reviews; motivates team and builds commitments.

  • Documents performance of subordinates; conducts performance appraisals on a timely basis; develops action plans, coaches and counsels subordinates to facilitate performance improvement

  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience evaluating security risk and managing process to ensure optimal loss prevention

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • A valid weapons permit or ability to pass applicable weapons licensing requirements

  • 21 years of age

  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule with a wide range of hours including but not limited to weekends and where necessary holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with internal Brink’s proprietary/commercial business software packages i.e. BITS, Garcia etc.

  • Knowledge of tactical security operations

  • Knowledge of logistical operations, products, services, policies, and procedures, in addition to a familiarity of the customers and the industries serviced.

  • Track record of driving collaboration and maintaining open communications with both internal teams and external/internal customers

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business and 4- 6 years of transferrable operations/business experience.
