Worcester Art Museum Studio Programs Coordinator in Worcester, Massachusetts

Job Overview: To facilitate and provide logistical support for studio programming. Includes working one weekend day each week when programming is in session. Duties/Responsibilities: \ Facilitate weekend classes and workshops when in session, including monitoring arrival and dismissal, coordinating room use, preparing supplies, solving issues regarding faculty and assistant substitutes. \ Schedule regular and as-needed maintenance work of the studios with Building Maintenance. \ Work with faculty and staff to coordinate supply needs for all classes. Order, distribute, and invoice supplies for studio class programs. \ Oversee inventory, maintain supply closets as needed, and monitor supply expenses. \ Coordinate artists? models by processing and maintaining; requests from faculty, schedule, confirmations, and screening of prospective models. \ Arrange for guards through Protective Services for after-hours studio programs gallery visits. \ Gain a working knowledge of our customer resource management database in the context of studio class programs and be able to utilize the database to enter classes, complete registrations, and communicate with students. \ Assist with the planning, curation, hanging, and deinstallation of Community/Education Wing exhibitions. \ Help with promoting studio class programs, including planning and implementation of open houses, and proofing of class brochures. \ Assist with program evaluation. \ DEAI - Uphold WAM?s mission, vision, and values and strategic plan as relates to WAM?s Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion initiatives. \ Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: \ Ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently and proactively \ Effective and positive communication skills \ Ability to prioritize work \ Attention to detail and strong organizational skills \ Ability to work with diverse faculty in a service capacity \ Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and ability to learn registration and scheduling software \ Commitment to advancing Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion at WAM \ Must pass a CORI and/or background check. Education and Experience: \ BA or equivalent required. \ One to three years in administrative position; background in art teaching or working with art materials and methods preferred \ Flexible schedule required.
