Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join our team located in Worcester, Massachusetts. As an Accounting Manager, you will be involved in the financial operations of our business, including managing day-to-day accounting activities, overseeing the budget process, and supervising Accounts Payable and Payroll coordinators. This role is crucial in the financial health and growth of our business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations

• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is recorded timely and accurately

• Conduct account reconciliations regularly to prevent discrepancies and financial issues

• Assist with budget planning and year-end financial audits, providing necessary financial reports and statements

• Supervise Accounts Payable and Payroll coordinators, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems for managing financial data and transactions

• Experience in conducting Month End Close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Ability to perform Account Reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data and rectify discrepancies

• Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders

• Demonstrable knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards

• Ability to manage a team and mentor junior staff members

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting
