  • Work with department managers through regular meetings to determine training requirements and put together detailed plans to meet the needs

  • To determine and roll out skill based training across the company to ensure employees are suitably qualified and competent to do their job roles

  • Work with department managers through regular meetings to determine training requirements and put together detailed plans to meet the needs

  • Provide training courses either by external sources or delivering them internally (providing business plans and cost comparisons to determine the best value for money)

  • Create excellent relationships with external providers

  • Design detailed training courses and plans for roles where needed across the business – these need to be of appropriate detail with competency checklists and sign offs.

  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of induction training as part of onboarding

  • Work with the Health and Safety team to deliver training on health and safety risk areas in order to help the Health and Safety team to meet their KPIs. Demonstrate how you have added improvement.

  • Source and roll out e-learning across the business where deemed appropriate, in tandem with other training personnel

  • Provide support to apprentices and trainees by designing a training plan for the skill based training in agreement with other members of HR

  • Constantly re-assess and improve quality of training provided through the use of surveys or questionnaires

  • Assist with other adhoc projects across the business where required


  • Proven working experience as a Training Manager or similar position

  • Plenty of drive and energy with a desire to continually improve

  • Strategic thinker with an ability to align delivery to business goals

  • A solution finder who is proactive and able to achieve lots in little time

  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills

  • Excellent written and oral skills with an ability to present information in an engaging and compelling way

  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company

  • An understanding of the Telecoms industry is desirable but not essential.
