• Technologist - Electrical Software Design in the Schaeffler Special Machinery (SMB) Department in Wooster, Ohio.
• Contribute to Schaeffler's success in an ever-changing market by concepting and testing out new technologies and procedures for manufacturing processes.
• Propose improvements in the context of new market developments and test whether these can be beneficial for the company.
• Cooperate with Engineers or Professionals of other disciplines to coordinate software interfaces.
• Validate and implement production technologies.
• Improve production technologies in terms of quality, cost and robustness.
• Validate machines, tools and processes.
• Support/enable production or production departments to realize production (hand-over, training, troubleshooting).
• Generally, up to 10% travel requirements.

*Your Qualifications*

• Journeyman Certification Electrician OR Associate degree in an electrical/computer technology related field.
• Minimum 1 year of practical experience.
• Knowledge of systems integration strategies, concepts, and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with support of custom equipment for manufacturing, including assembly, inspection, process control, etc.
• Software development experience in the fields of Fanuc Robots, Vision Systems, C+, Microsoft Office, Personal Computer (PC) systems, etc.
• External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship.
