ROCKIN E FARMS LLC Vegetable Farm Laborer (Temporary) in WOODS CROSS, Utah
Temporary Need: 4/12/25 -- 11/05/25. Six (6) full-time, seasonal, temporary Vegetable Farm Laborers needed. Will work 40 hrs/week, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Wage is $17.84/hr. Location: Work will be performed in Woods Cross, Utah. Various locations in Davis County, Utah. Duties: Growing, irrigating, harvesting, packing vegetables, greenhouse duties to include gorwing, watering, pulling and shipping flower orders. Exposure to extreme temp, repetitive movements, extensive pushing, pulling walking and frequent stooping Involves lifting and carrying of 50 lbs frequently. The hours listed represent the normal work schedule. Due to the nature of the duties and weather it is the prevailing practice to work substantially more, less or different hours than those listed, sometimes for extended periods of time. When the number of hours for a week exceeds the number listed then, the worker may be offered, but not required, to work more hours. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on the weekend, a worker's Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any change to start time. Terms and conditions of employment: Workers must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by the supervisor and will be required to keep all property and farm buildings clean; workers must be willing to perform tasks capably and efficiently without close supervision; absences from work and/or failure to perform required tasks will not be tolerated; the employer will provide, at no cost to the worker, Workers' Compensation coverage or private insurance which is equal to Workers' Compensation laws for comparable employment. All tools, supplies and equipment necessary to perform the duties assigned will be provided at no cost or deposit to the worker. The employer guarantees to offer the worker employment for a total number of work days equal to at least 3/4's of the total work period beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or advertised contractual first day of need. Whichever is later to occur, and ending on the expiration date specified. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer shall pay the worker the cost incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, a minimum of $15.88 per 24-hour travel period of the CONUS meal reimbursement rate $59.00 maximum when receipts are provided for travel within the United States. The offered wage equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage that is issued by DOL for the time period the work is performed (or whichever is the highest pay rate). This job is in connection with a future H-2A labor certification application.
