Job Opening: 2nd Shift CNC Operator

Location: Bolingbrook, Illinois

Hours: Monday - Friday, 4pm - 12am

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator with experience in lathe or mill operations. This role requires working with individualized parts, meaning there will be more setups and adjustments rather than programming and running the machine continuously. The work environment is quieter and slower-paced than large industrial settings, with only up to 5 team members on the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities:

• Operating Machine or Equipment: Operate basic equipment and machines and carry out routine tasks.

• Operations Management: Carry out operational tasks by following established processes.

• Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment by performing preparations and providing support.

• Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow basic mandatory instructions to ensure safety and environmental protection.

• Operational Compliance: Adhere to procedures to ensure work meets quality standards and complies with regulatory codes and internal policies.

• Precision Equipment Utilization: Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.

• Instructions and Drawings: Read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances.

• Internal Communications: Engage in courteous exchanges of information with colleagues.

• Policy and Procedures: Understand policies and procedures to align with organizational strategies and objectives.

• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment, operating a CNC lathe and/or mill.

• Education: High School Diploma / GED or relevant experience in lieu of education.

• Skills:

• Clear and effective verbal communication.

• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize activities.

• Basic understanding of safe work systems.
