Introduction:

GlobalFoundries SGP seeks an experienced engineer in the field of RF device design to support and develop RF technologies and devices for leading edge RF and mm-wave solutions for broad range of applications including cellular, WiFi, radar, satcom and automotive. The RF device engineer will be responsible for CMOS, RF FET, SiGe bipolar, RF diodes and RF passives development for a range of technologies including bulk CMOS, BiCMOS and SOI. Responsibilities will include development, optimization and qualification of advanced RF devices for semiconductor foundry technologies. The engineer must have in depth understanding of device physics, semiconductor process knowledge and experience, data analysis and teamwork to be successful in this role

Your Job :

● Design, development and characterization of CMOS, passive and HBT devices to meet performance and reliability requirements

● Design of device test structures and detailed characterization of devices

● Working with TCAD engineers to predict device split results

● Working with Modeling engineers to produce good device models

● Detailed analysis of electrical test data and characterization results

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

    Required Qualifications:

  • Masters + at least 2 years relevant device experience or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, or other relevant engineering physical science discipline.

  • Background in CMOS (or related devices)device physics

  • Strong data analysis skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written

  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

  • Familiarity with layout and design rules

  • Experience in detailed electrical characterization of devices

  • Process Integration experience preferred

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in RF device design and characterization including high frequency design, measurement and analysis

  • Understanding of RF CMOS

  • Experience in s-parameter characterization

  • Experience with Cadence or any other layout and simulation tool

  • Other Essential Attributes

  • Strong understanding of device and process physics

  • Aptitude for optimization and innovation

  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
