Summary of Role:
As an Analyst within the Global Supply Management team, the incumbent will perform activities related to material procurement, outsourcing, and vendor selection.
Essential Duties
You will be responsible but not limited for the following tasks:
Performs activities related to the purchasing of materials, equipment and services for internal company use.
Develops, implements and communicates company policies and procedures for purchasing.
Reviews purchase requests for completeness and compliance with company requirements.
May coordinate purchasing activities with the engineering and manufacturing departments to maintain inventories at planned levels.
Negotiates with vendors and approves purchases of authorized amounts or sizes.
Maintains and updates purchasing orders, systems, and documentation. Monitors the cost, schedule and performance metrics of contracts and subcontracts.
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
Works on other projects and/or assignments as needed.
Education/Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in any relevant field (engineering, business management, or supply chain)
Good communicator and interpersonal skills dealing with internal customers and suppliers
Enjoys solving problems and tackling challenges
Positive attitude and self-driven
A good team player
Strong analytical capabilities, e.g., strong data cleaning skills, advanced excel, Power BI, VBA, etc.
