Mostly remote, however must be based in Southern California and within 1.5 hour commute of Woodland Hills, CA for urgent issues in the datacenter. Candidates outside of Southern California will not be considered.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles, California. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be dealing with on-prem systems, working on Linux administration, scripting, and configuration. You will also be responsible for working with AWS cloud environments and Open Source projects. This role will also involve networking, virtualization, and general administration around storage, database, and security.

Responsibilities:

• Work extensively on Linux administration, scripting, and configuration tasks, including Linux CLI, Bash, PowerShell, and installations.

• Engage in the operation and maintenance of AWS cloud environments.

• Contribute to the implementation and management of Open Source projects.

• Handle networking tasks, including VPN, Tunnels, On-Prem and Cloud Network, Security Policies, Roles, Access, and Permissions Management.

• Employ your skills in virtualization and Linux server configuration and tuning.

• Undertake general administration tasks around storage, database, and security.

• Assist with AWS MFT, ETL, and Integration Developers, guiding and recommending best practices to other team’s Web, Data/SQL, and Application Developers.

• Build, Size, Test, and Deploy Docker containers.

• Work with SQL, Java, Python, PHP, and JavaScript to develop and maintain applications.

• Detect, troubleshoot, and identify different components of a REST API, Application Delivery, Load Balancing, and Web Applications.

• Utilize your skills in Atlassian Jira, Automation Frameworks, Backend Development, AB Testing, Agile Scrum, API Development, Automation Test, Linux, Bash Scripting, PowerShell Scripting, Linux System Administration, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Open source technology, Information - Network Security, Network Administration, Cloud Storage, Docker.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 5 years experience in a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or similar

• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems

• Experience in Bash Scripting and PowerShell Scripting

• Familiarity with Linux System Administration

• Experience in using Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud solutions

• Knowledge in Open source technology for software development

• Understanding of Information - Network Security protocols and practices

• Proven experience in Network Administration

• Familiarity with Cloud Storage solutions and their management

• Experience in using Docker for software deployment
