We offer 216 independent, assisted living and memory care apartments; 56 skilled and transitional care suites. The Redwoods Senior Apartments, adjacent to the main campus opened in November 2017. Responsibilities: Manages and supervises the activities of a shift in the care center. Acts as a resource in interpreting nursing policies and procedures and their application to residents and staff. Assigns staff to handle campus emergencies in the absence of administrative staff. Qualifications: Experience: Three years of nursing experience is required. Previous supervisory experience is preferred, but not required. Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills. Special knowledge, skills and abilities: Demonstrated working knowledge of nursing department functions with special emphasis on compliance with Federal and State Regulations Knowledge of the scope of the Minnesota Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act Demonstrated ability to participate in and collaborate with interdisciplinary team. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Effective time management/prioritization and critical thinking skills Demonstrated written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
