Waste Connections Tax Manager in Woodbridge, Ontario
Waste Connections of Canada has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, organized, results-oriented Tax Manager to join our team in Woodbridge, Ontario. This professional self-starter will join the Tax team to manage the Canadian tax functions of the organization. Successful candidates are those who seek to thrive in an environment of operational excellence and accountability.
Skills and attributes for success:
Preparation of the quarterly tax provision under US GAAP principles
Preparation of federal and provincial income tax returns
Calculating monthly tax installments
Preparation of foreign reporting information returns for foreign affiliates
Preparation and filing of commodity tax returns
Assist with CRA and Provincial Revenue Agency notices
Prepare working papers to address various CRA / Provincial tax audit inquiries
Keep informed of tax laws, regulations, and rulings pertaining to international, federal, provincial and local taxes
To qualify for this role you must have:
CPA designation is required
At least 4 years’ experience working in a tax department of a public accounting firm or public company
Completion or enrollment in the CPA In-Depth Tax Course is an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills in MS Office and TaxPrep tax software experience
