GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Waste Connections of Canada is seeking an Application Trainer who will create, implement and deliver nationwide training material and programs. This person assesses the training and development needs of employees; consults, designs, develops, delivers, and continuously revises appropriate software learning, and development training materials, activities, classes, webinars, and other learning resources. This role will provide ongoing consultation, collaboration, coaching, and training to various operations technical support.

The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills including verbal, written, presentation, desk side and telephone etiquette. An above average ability to interpret, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve functional problems, while managing deadlines. Must be decisive, conscientious and interact well in a team environment or training capacity. Can demonstrate the ability to work well with a minimal amount of supervision.

As an Application Trainer with us the minimum responsibilities are:

• Provide direct support for districts using Operations Applications (TRUX,RTA, Geotab), including recommending more efficient processes and assisting with reporting.

• Provide communication and training with all involved in a conversion.

• Assist the migration by completing site discoveries.

• Complete QA testing for the Operations Applications.

• Troubleshoot issues that are reported and create issue tickets for the Development team.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• 3+ years related experience

• Must be able to travel throughout Canada

• Be proficient or become so in the workings of the TRUX application

• Understanding of SQL, Crystal and Tableau an asset.

• Must correspond professionally and promptly with co-workers and supervisors, in person, verbally and in writing.

• Must be able to interface with individuals and professionals at all levels of the organization including Executives.

• Must have good organizational skills and be able to work independently

• Bilingual English/French an asset.
