Description There is a current Software Developer role available with one of Robert Half's clients. This position requires the chosen candidate to be responsible for implementing new features, maintaining existing code, and refactoring existing code across a breadth of products used both internally and externally at the company. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Woodbridge, New Jersey area.

How you will make an impact

• Adjust and present production support

• Produce clear and consistent updates around solutions and time estimate to client-facing program management teams

• You'll be great at this job if you can maintain and develop new features to internal and external facing software to enhance the customer experience and resolve issues on various operating systems

• Customarily implement code-review and join with other developers

• Team up with Scrum team to produce proper work estimates Requirements - Less than one year of experience is acceptable

  • This position requires you to write clean, standardized code that performs optimally in highly concurrent environments

• Expertise in extract transform loads

• Comprehensive knowledge of Ruby on Rails

• Deep understanding of Software Integration

  • This position will be the best fit for a candidate with familiarity with scrum

  • Applicants should have familiarity with full-stack development (front-end, to middle/application tier, to database)

  • We are particularly looking for candidates with experience with software development life cycles, e.g. Agile, Big Bang, Spiral, Waterfall, etc.

• Experience with API design

  • It is preferred for applicants to have knowledge of education standards such as QTI/APIP, SIF, AIF

  • Applicants should have experience with at least one framework/library, e.g. Vue.js, Polymer, Angular.js, React.js, Ractive.js, Knockout.js, Ember.js, Bootstrap, etc. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
