Fleming Door Products and Baron Metal Industries are two brands under the ASSA ABLOY umbrella. Baron brand is expanding the Sales Administration department. This role is based on-site at our manufacturing facility located in Woodbridge, Ontario.

What would you do as our Estimator?

You will be responsible for generating, tracking and communicating quoting activities for new and existing customers. Responsibilities will include but not limited to, conducting pricing and quoting activities, approving inputs, managing quoted projects, following up with sales representatives, and dealing with all pricing or quoting related issues. This individual must ensure quick turnaround time and accuracy for pricing requests to meet customers’ project deadlines.

You would also:

  • Develop pricing for custom product and non-price book items

  • Price items from price books in response to customer requests

  • Interface with customers (internal & external) regarding pricing

  • Prepare estimates from customer take-offs for special project requirements.

  • Work with ASSA ABLOY group factories to quote Door Group specialty offerings.

  • Handle phone, fax or email inquiries for architects, distributors, sales personnel and sales agencies regarding custom or special products

  • Enter all project quotes within our in-house quoting tool.

  • Work collaboratively with team members on all quote related issues

  • Ensure all pricing requests are completed within required lead times.

  • Participate in monthly calls with sales agents to ensure product quotes are current and valid

  • Analyze and report on pricing inconsistencies and identify opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through price strategies.

  • Continually ensure improvement of the quoting process.

  • Perform special assignments and projects as assigned.

  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees

  • Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

    What we are looking for:

  • Post - secondary education in Business, Analytics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role

  • Previous experience with pricing contract tenders, RFPs, and/or RFQs

  • Previous experience using a CRM and/or quoting software and an ERP system would be a plus

  • Working knowledge of ERPs and business modeling tools, i.e. Cognos and/or any type of Oracle based programs would be an asset

  • Experience in analyzing complex data and creating user reports.

  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written needed to interface with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, follow-up and a high comfort level balancing multiple priorities or projects simultaneously.

  • Must excel working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous experience/exposure working within Metal Fabrication, Hollow Metal, Architectural Hardware, Door or Building Materials industries providing pricing and quoting would be highly desirable.
