Quality Assurance Specialist

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting aircraft engine parts, articles, and components to ensure product quality meets regulatory requirements

• This position requires a strong understanding of quality management systems, including QMS, as well as FAA and DoD regulatory guidelines

• You will be working closely with peers, leads, supervisors, and managers to develop, deploy, and execute quality/inspection department/work center related metrics

• Process incoming and outgoing material in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and customer requirements

• Ensure sufficient traceability of products being inspected to prevent counterfeit and suspect unapproved parts from entering inventory or reaching customers

• Inspect products, which may include document review, visual inspection, packaging, shelf life, life-limited records, materials subject to electrostatic discharge (ESD), and more

• Review technical/regulatory data, such as Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, FAA Orders, and Code of Federal Regulations

• Use calibrated measurement/test equipment, including digital micrometers, pin gages, digital height gages, digital calipers, and more

• Evaluate work against Purchase Order instructions, Repair Order instructions, Customer instructions, appropriate specifications, and standards
